Privacy notice.

How SailrScience handles information you submit through the corporate website at sailr.science.

Last updated: 2026-05-27. Updated to cover the MPAE white paper request form added on this date.

1. Scope

This notice applies to information collected via the SailrScience corporate website at sailr.science. Product properties (sailedge.sailr.science, fleetedge.sailr.science) publish their own privacy notices for the per-product surfaces they operate; this notice does not govern those properties.

2. Controller

The data controller for information submitted through this Site is SailrScience Technologies, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company.

3. What we collect

If you submit the contact form, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your organization (optional)
  • The audience category you selected
  • The message text you wrote

If you submit the MPAE white paper request form on /research/mpae, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • The role you selected (naval architect, sailmaker, racing team, journalist, institutional / academic, or other)
  • Your organization (optional)

The Site does not currently run analytics or third-party tracking. Our hosting provider (Netlify) maintains standard request logs for operational and security purposes; those logs may include IP addresses and user-agent strings.

4. Why we collect it

To respond to your inquiry. Audience-routed contact submissions reach the appropriate desk inside SailrScience; the form is the inbound channel for services, partner, research, press, and investor conversations.

For the MPAE white paper request form, we use your email address to deliver a one-time download link for the public white paper. We may also contact you about MPAE-related research at the same address. Reply STOP to any such email to opt out.

5. How long we keep it

Contact form submissions are retained for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and follow up on resulting engagements, after which they are archived for record-keeping or deleted on request.

MPAE white paper request data is retained for outreach purposes. The download-link token is single-use and expires after seven days; the underlying request record (name, email, role, organization) is retained until you request deletion at the address in section 7.

6. Who we share it with

Contact form data and MPAE request data are shared only inside SailrScience Technologies, LLC and SailrScience, LLC, with the following operational exceptions:

  • Netlify — our hosting provider, which processes form submissions and stores the underlying request records on our behalf as a data processor.
  • Resend — our transactional email provider, which delivers the one-time download link for the MPAE white paper on our behalf as a data processor.
  • Legal or regulatory requirements — where required by applicable law or in response to a valid legal request.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the information we hold about you by contacting contact@sailr.science. We respond within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.

8. Cookies

The Site does not set tracking cookies. Netlify may set strictly necessary cookies for hosting and security functions (load balancing, bot mitigation). These are not used for analytics or advertising.

9. International transfers

SailrScience is established in the United States. Information you submit is processed in the United States. If you submit information from outside the United States, you acknowledge that transfer.
